out of the way places
There is an old prayer that comes to mind when I look at this picture. I can't remember who prayed it. It goes something like this, "God keep my shoes whole and in good repair, for I tend to walk in rough, out of the way places."
There are some rough and out of the way visiting opportunities approaching if anyone is interested.
Please consider praying for our friend Esther's granddaughter.
Lori and the group from Peachtree Baptist leave for Ghana today.
The feet in the picture belong to some lovely friends at Jane's Orphanage in Tanzania.

I love the picture.
What will Lori be doing while in Ghana?
Happy Tuesday! Hope everyone had a merry christmas!
side note - I just read a fabulous book by the founder of Women for Women International. She is the daughter of the personal pilot for Saddam. It's called Between Two Worlds by Zainab Salbi.
Thanks for the side note. Must look into this.
I love the picture, too. It makes me a little teary-eyed every time, actually.
Suz can correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know Lori and her traveling companions are making her Ghanaian home in a village not too far from Accra. Her church in Atlanta has a partnership with an indigenous church and ministry there. The church goes to do a pastor's training conference, and while that is going on, there is also a leadership conference for the women in the local churches. (The last time I heard the plan, at least) Lori is working with the women in the conference. There will also be a lot of church visiting, and I'm sure pretty sure Lori will be preaching at least once. I'm sure she'll be filling us in on the details when she gets back.
Meg and I got to go on the same trip summer before last, and it was great. The women are fabulous and the children are so much fun!
