Where Are You Going?

Although the calendar hasn't given us official permission to claim summer's presence . . . papers are written and exams completed. (Well, most papers, some might still have one or two to finish.) Anyone have exciting plans?

Anyone going out of the country, to Yellowstone, General Assembly, or Disney World?

Anyone just staying home and can't quit thinking about the possibilities?

Burma and Thailand won't leave my mind. And then there's Tanzania and Jordan . . .

I should get back to that paper . . .

I am leaving this afternoon as soon after church as the bus is loaded to go to children's camp. One of the three jobs I am doing this summer is a children's ministry intern. This should amuse some of you for various reasons...we are taking 55 kids to camp somewhere in NC. This is no premade show up and someone else does camp...this is Miss Prissy and her intern Meg and others do it all camp. Among other things I have to fake being a lifeguard and preach Tuesday night about Deborah and Jael and the tent peg...It should be an exciting week!

Hey Meg, Are you going to Bonclarken in NC?

As for me, I'm in Alabama on a research trip right now. And, later this month I hope to catch up with some of you crazy cats at General Assembly.

Other than that, I'm studying French so that I can pass my exam at the end of the summer. We'll see what other fun adventures come my way.

Mandy - we were in Hayesville, NC - just across the GA state line in Western NC. We were at camp Truett which appeared to be an old RA Camp...

Hey Suzanah. I'll be spending the month of July in Jordan. I cannot wait to return. I'll be doing all kinds of ministry but most importantly I'll have a chance to reconnect with friends I had when I lived there.

OH, the other day a girl who was in my cabin at Pinnacle found me on Facebook. Turns out she is in her first year at Toccoa Falls College and she is working this summer at Pinnacle. How cool! But my how that makes me feel old.
