missing

I miss old school Sparkfly. The Sparkfly when Lori and I were writing every day and I wrote what was true and real in that moment.

I miss Laura Savage's old couch. The one at her condo in Birmingham. The one where I sat for hours as we talked about all things life and call and dreams.

I miss the Acteens at MBBC and milkshakes and dancing in the kitchen.

I'll add that I miss the TCBY conversations with Wanda about call and traveling. I also miss the mattress on the floor of the Notting Hill dining room and Tamara's back porch being 4 minutes away from mine instead of 3 hours. PS - I had to climb on the roof and use the blower to get the leaves out of the gutters. It made me laugh out loud at the time we got on the roof of your house to do the same thing before you moved. Remember how we somehow convinced each other it was safer if we both got up there? Ha.

I have thought of MBBC Acteens, milkshakes, and Laura Savage often too my friend. It all seems like a lifetime ago. (where is Laura these days?) In my new life as wife and mom, I feel so out of touch sometimes with who I really am deep down. I am searching for a way to reconnect. I am so thankful that you taught me those words many moons ago..."Remember who you are." I am trying to remember, reclaim, and restore. Continue to be strong and courageous. You will change the world. You already changed mine.
